Stream still coming down from rains Mon-Tuesday. Water clear at above 500 cfs. Grannoms were definitely out since Friday , but just. Only a little of the green egg sacks attached to rocks underwater. it took until about 11 for the trout to turn-on to the bugs. Most hatching activity was done by then but there were plenty of dead grannoms in the surface film. It's early in the hatch as not many fish were turned-on to the bugs. Any time this week should be great. The hatch will be over by next weekend but if the water conditions are good, there could still be significant dry fly activity to lingering or sub-species activity. I've run into a smaller, sz. 18 after the regular sz. 16 grannom. The feeding trout were eating well. It wasn't too hard to catch the feeding fish.

I was there Saturday afternoon for a few hours. definitely some bugs around but not many rising fish through the still heavy water.
I also saw the smaller caddis and I'm sure there were some Blue Wings in the evening.
I figured it would be better on Sunday but just couldn't get back up there.
