Starting to wonder what happened to the mayflies on OIl Creek. Very little bug or fish activity this evening. Water was in great condition.
It's been I don't know how long since I saw the yellow clouds of sulfurs over the riffles that Oil Creek was famos for.
The few bugs were everything from tiny coruntta/drunella olives (not sure what to call these), like sz. 22. some sulfurs, some cahills, chalk and yellow. Saw many of the big golden stonefly shucks on rocks. No isonychias, although they are pretty heavy over the riffles on the River. I forgot how huge those things get. From a distance, I thought they might be coffin flies.
