Fished at Petroleum Center (Keystone Select) in long pool at lower end of park from 3:30 till 6 today. Air temp 55 but felt cold. Sorry no water temp but it felt very cold. Overcast but didn't look like it rained there today, tho it did rain a bit further north. Water clear at great level of 300 cfs. Only saw 2-3 small bugs in air maybe stones, did see 2 probable rises. Only saw 3 other guys, 2 were below me.

This stretch was stocked heavily early last week. I knew there'd be a ton of fish and big ones, but fish were very sluggish probably due to the temp. I stuck with a black wooly bugger the whole time and got many bumps and short strikes. Spooked a couple nice fish that jumped after the miss. Had a couple hits on no movement dead downstream at end of drift. Couldn't figure out how much or little action to give the bugger. Brought 3 nice bows to hand, one 12, one 14 and a fat 18-19 incher that fought deep but not real hard. All caught at very tip of the nose.

One guy below me caught about 7 or 8 chucking hardware, made a lot of comments about big fish following his spinner. Other guy caught a couple nymphing.

This run should fish well when the water warms up. Oil gets some nice hatches esp. grannoms.
