Flowing in mid-400's. About 4-6 inches higher than would be good for fly fishing. Temp and clarity perfect. Essentially no bug activity. A few caddis in the air, some tiny cinnamon. I fished a sz. 6 white marabou conehead streamer. 2 hookups. 1 landed. Many 'bumps'. Found an eddy at the base of the ice dam that had trout stacked-up. Caught about 7 there. Speculation: If the creek didn't come up today, it might have started yielding to caddis. I'd expect that in the next few days with good water.
Many smaller than usual fish this year.
