Been a few years since I've been on Oil, but used to fish it a lot and know it well.
Its a stream where you don't have to stick to the special reg sections. There's a bike trail that runs the length. The stocking truck drives the bike trail. Result is you have stocked sections far from road access. Having to walk or bike tends to decrease pressure and what pressure there is has gone through some effort to get there and tends to be C&R types anyway, so other than right at access points it doesn't get fished out quickly. Solid hatches and the fish tend to rise well, be present in numbers well into June, and well its a pretty good situation.
