Fished 5/31 from 4:30 pm till 8:00 pm. Air temp was high 50's water temp was in low to mid 60's a little high and stained. At RR bridge in park I caught several on March Brown, later down by the old fly shop there were some cahills coming off but the fish were keying on BWO #16. Caught 5 or 6 and left till next day.

6/1 was a phenomenal day on the creek, overcast air temp 70, water temp mid 60's (guessing). Started at Drake Well around 11:00 am. Caddis hatching and trout rising. Tan caddis size #18. Used EHC#16 and Caddis Emerger#16. I left for lunch at 1:00 pm and they were still rising. Came back at 1:45 and walked down to end of park to the long run. Caddis and BWO's were coming off and they were taking both. BWO parachute emerger size #16 worked great so did Mike of OCO's mother's day caddis #18. Missed a really nice large brown who stripped my line for 70' or so before he stole my MDCaddis. 80% of fish were rainbows and all were nice healthy colorful trout 11-14".

Left at 3:00 PM stopped at OCO for some caddis and BWO's then went to Petroleum Center to the boat launch. BWO's coming off and again the fish were rising. Parachute emerger again #16. Fished up to just below RR bridge. Dozens of risers all through that stretch.

Quit for dinner at 5, stopped back at Drake Well around 7 to see if I could maybe hook that large brown. Almost any BWO was working, emergers, dries, CDC, etc and the mothers day caddis was still popular. Left around 8:30.

Just a great day numbers of trout hooked and caught were ridiculous. I've had a pretty crappy fishing spring so I kinda felt like I deserved it.

BTW I stopped at Penns on Tues for my first Green Drake experience. It was OK but I'm not that into fishing in the dark. Caught 2 nice browns about 14'. the spectacle of the drake hatch was pretty awesome though.
