Petroleum Centre bridge. Flow a bit above 700 cfs. Great color; pretty clear. Rained a bit early AM. Sun came out strongly. Sparse grannom hatch. I started fishing a squirmy worm. 1 lost. Switched to yellow sucker spawn Euronymphing. Had to work for them, but they were in the softer deep water. At least that's where I hooked them. Once a few grannoms hatched and I saw a rise or 2, I switched to a grannom pupa brass bead wet fly. They were on to that. I kept track today. by 2:00, 16 landed and 3 on and lost. THat's pretty productive, but I had to work for them.

I was quite a way upstream from you. Grannoms were strong until late afternoon. Lots of surface activity.
The pasts few years, Petroleum Center's grannom population has diminished greatly.

Sunday, 24th: Water about the same as yesterday. Bright sun. Grannoms much better than yesterday, but still not a reavy hatch. Fished about 1/2 mile below Pioneer. There was sporadic surface activity throughout the emergence, which was impressive given the water level. In Euronymphed a sz. 16 grannom pupa and had a great morning. Caddis came off sporadically but I'd call the hatch over by maybe 11 or 11:30.

Fished up stream about 8 miles, Mid morning till about 2.
Grannoms were hatching upstream in waves thought it was snowing. Landed 4 lost 4 in heavy waters. Few risers. Got them on wets and nymphs. I don't euro nymph but used indicator and long drifts.
Beautiful day to be out.
