Fished it yesterday 06.01.14 until about 3:30 PM with the Prof and my son. Air temp 74 degrees water temp 64.3. Low and clear. Not much wind. Spectacular blue sky with puffy clouds. We fished sulphers and emergers. Hares ears copper johns ants and wooly buggers etc. Between the the 3 of us we must have caught close to 30 chubbs and blue gills. The Chubbs were flying out of the water wherever we fished. No trout for any of us although I saw several in some of the deeper pools. I thought I caught a rainbow just below the Puseyville Bridge but now that I think back on it it may have been a 10 inch spawning chubb as its belly was bright red. I think the reason I thought it was a bow was due to the fact that I have been fishing Valley so much that I was shocked to catch a fish with red coloring. Since only native rainbows spawn in the spring and the F&B commission has cultivated stocked rainbows to spawn in the late summer/early fall the more I think back on it it was probably just a big spawning chub. Nevertheless a beautiful day to fish and the company was great.

I fished it as well on Sunday. Lots of those red chubs with the knobby heads. They almost look like a small peacock bass. There was a nice cloud of spinners at dark and I got pretty excited. I only say two trout rise and neither of them wanted my fly. Caught a few on nymphs though.
