Prof and I fished it. 12:30PM till 3PM. 53 Degrees Air temp. Didn't check water temp but felt cold on my waders in the pools. Needs rain big time. Water very low and gin clear. Saw only two other guys both of whom did not know of the website for all of you guys who think the stream reports forum leads to SBing. Each of us caught a very large rainbow. Prof got his on a #20 hares ear and mine was on a #16 Prince. The Prof's had the "hook" jaw which we have never encountered before in this stream. Wind was outrageously strong by mid afternoon, especially when you actually entered the Meadows section with the high banks. I will tell you this though in the three pools down from the off road parking area by the farm each pool was holding at least 20 trout. The fish must have had lock jaw as I pounded them with a large assortment of flies including a San Juan Egg Worm. Should have stuck with the Prince!

Fade, I assume you are talking about the East Branch of the Octorara since it says Chester County. What exactly is the Meadows? Is this the cow pasture down from the steel bridge in Steelville?

Has the county opened the park on the Old Chalfont estate yet? They bought that property a long time ago, but last time I drove past it was still posted, that was several years ago. I grew up fishing there and remember a lot of opening days down there as a kid when it was more like the parking lot at a concert than what I am used to these days.

Reds,

It was the West Branch in Lancaster County. I know, I was there. Fade was there also, but obviously didn't know where he was.

My mental GPS was malfunctioning
