Time Fished: 840am - 1115am
Weather Conditions: 54 degrees, Sunny
Water Conditions: 48 degrees, a little off color
Insects: I saw 2 black Caddis
I like to use streamers here since they seem to stock browns and brook trout. There were 3 fisherman that came and went while I was fishing.
I fished through the pools 3 times with 3 different streamers. I started with a yellow Marabou (caught 2), then I ran a white feather back streamer (caught 8) and I finished with a spruce fly (no fish caught). There are several water deflectors that make the holes much deeper than they normally would. They have done a nice job making the deflectors permanent and productive fixtures.
The cold water was a limiting factor. It probably fished better later in the day as temps improved. Ten trout is really a decent number.
