Weather: steady rain at times with temp in low 40's with some wind

Water: Bloomsburg gauge 4.32 and rising / water temp around 50 degrees

Water is still very heavily stained only clear water I can find is from where tribs dump in. I ended up catching 5 nice smallies with largest stretching past 19". The fish are starting to bunch up together in traditional fall / winter holding spots. I used a cowens magnum baitfish in olive fished on a short leader with intermediate line. The smallies are keying on the baitfish in the fall so don't be shy about throwing something big at them. I absolutely love this time of the year for big smallmouth.

^ There ya go! That's what they look like?! Very nice...

And night SMB population survey work all this past week in the middle Susquehanna showed the fish to be abundant and very nice throughout. Recommend that if anglers enjoy SMB fishing they not waste this unusual opportunity, which is what I would have said for the lower Susquehanna last year.
