This morning I fished a local stream near my home in Carroll County Maryland. The North Branch of the Patapsco is the river that is dammed to create Liberty Reservoir (one of Baltimore City's 3 water supply impoundments). The Patapsco above Liberty Reservoir is not stocked with trout but it contains a good wild brown trout population. This morning's overcast skies and passing thunderstorms created nice conditions for drifting nymphs and swinging woolly buggers. Alternating between a size 14 Hare's Ear Nymph and a size 10 olive woolly bugger I managed to move a few trout.
