This vise and been used as you can see in the enclosed pictures, but it is still very functional and in good working condition. It comes with both a heavy pedestal base and a C-clamp. There are no chips in the jaws, and it holds a wide range of hooks securely. (flies size #8 and #18 are pictured below)

This is available for pick up in New Holland, Pennsylvania for $20.00, or I will ship it for the actual shipping cost, paid by PayPal.

Send me a private message here to arrange purchase, or with any questions you have.

Thank you, John

Where is the guy from the getting started tying thread?

I called this a starter vice, but it could also be used just as easily as a second, or a backup vice.

Im not very mechanically inclined so I often simply use a second vise with a pedestal base to prop up a clipboard holding a sheet of white or colored paper behind my other vise when I’m taking pictures of flies I’m tying.

Also, I can’t count the number of times that I’ve taken a second vise with me on camping trips, and on extended travel trips away from home when I didn’t want to take a more expensive vice with me, but still wanted to be able to tie flies when away from home.
