New rod suggestion

Hi. Looking to get a new high end rod for general PA trout fishing as a gift to myself from my late father. A memento since he and I fished together for around 40 years.
Thinking of a 5 weight 8.5 or 9 foot and companies like T&T, Burkheimer, Winston and similar.
Sage and Loomis don’t seem like the type I’m after.
Anything else I should be considering?
Not crazy about bamboo and already have a couple nice glass rods.
