Hello,

Just moved to Carlisle, PA and am excited to have more abundant fishing opportunities as a lifelong resident of the western side of PA before. Home stream was Neshannock Creek. Love to streamer fish with my fly rod and pack a tenkara nymphing setup in the bag.

I went out yesterday with an articulated dungeon and felt a bit silly in small sections of yellow breeches when nymphing, dry dropper or wets would have produced some stocked rainbows like on Sunday with some tungsten frenchies. The one older guy I talked to said he uses an adams mainly and thought I was insane when I showed him some articulated streamers, not even giant game changers. How viable are 4"-6" articulated streamers around yellow breeches/mountain creek?

My mom lives in Carlisle so I’ve fished the big three there a bunch with most focus on britches. You can 100% fish dungeons there as I do that all the time. Expect a bunch of stocked fish though so temper expectation if looking for wild hammers, some large stocked fish though.

In general I’ve fished dungeons on streams you can jump across, it’s just a different style of fishing and much less productive obviously.
