Fished from the clifts back up the creek about 1/2 mile, 5:30 P.M.-8:00 P.M.. Air temp. was 79 deg, water was 66 deg., low and almost perfectly clear. Very little bug hatching, couple of big sulphurs and caddis, almost no surface activity and only 5 fishermen from lower clifts to the Volant Fly shop. Caught 3 all rainbows, one about 14"-15" all on soft hackle nymph, brown body with bronze wire (March Brown-like), #16 about 15"behind a BH hares ear. Creek is pretty weedy already.
One other guy had good luck with a zebra midge and sucker spawn.
