Conditions weren't bad but the stream is on the low side. The yearly coating of moss has arrived. Fished in the evening for a few hours. Slow, slow, slow. LDR'ed a 15-16 brown that looked pretty dark and colorful. Caught a second small brown that also had pretty strong coloration. Probably a couple of holdovers. Also got a bow that was less interesting to look at. Tan and green caddis larva were the only flies that brought any fish in, but I had two solid takes on a Copper John.

Saw some Light Cahills around 7:00 PM. Also a very few larger mayflies, maybe March Browns? Didn't have an chance to get a close look at them. The chubs and shiners were having a blast taking something off the surface.

Those larger flies were probably March Browns. I did well there earlier this week on a #14 rusty spinner at dusk.

FYI to anybody thinking of going to Neshannock over the next couple of days... it's blown out from last night's storms. It's probably a good thing... stream was too low and it will clean out algae. Should fish great later this week providing we don't get any more significant rain.
