Fished the area behind the shop. For being preseason still there weren't many people there. Got there around 11am and fished until 3. Grannoms were covering the bridge and a decent amount of bugs in the sky. I counted less than 10 risers. I stung 2 of them but couldn't connect on top. Swung some wets to get a bit of action but it was real slow to say the least. Saw an osprey catch one so he was doing pretty good. Got the "you should have been here yesterday" from a local. Hatch seems to be on the down side in terms of numbers for the week. May have a few more days of bugs. I was wondering if the rain changed the water temp and the fish turned off. The fish seem to be very hit or miss on this hatch. Some years I get tons of top water action and others it was like yesterday.
