brown drake spinner will most likely happen now that the duns are done.
 
the spinners may be there tonight as the last day. I'm sure you'll get some stragglers either way. You HAVE to stay late to get the action. To find out for sure, just walk along the stream and look at the large leafed trees and see if the spinners are hanging underneath. I have some pictures of them that I'll post later. That will let you know if there will be some spinners that evening. If you see a handful on the leaves, then you'll def see a ton in the evening.

Just go. Be prepared with some size 14 white spinners just in case. The cahill spinners should give some action if the drakes don't show up.
 
I was able to fish it this evening from 7ish till about 9:40. Caught 1 on a caddis dry, missed another, lost one on a brown drake dry, and caught a 3 on streamers. I was fishing a 2 fly rig at one point and almost caught 2 trout at the same time, but one of them popped off right before I got them to the net. That was fun. There were some brown drakes, as well as cahills, but there were very trout rising. I caught a handful of fish so it wasn't a bust, but I was hoping for some fast and furious topwater action! Oh well. My brother was with me and he caught one or two browns and a decent bow(probably from the lunker stocking). I'll post some pics in the morning.
 
Took Ryan's advice and looked under the leaves for drake spinners. Well, I found some, and they were flying around pretty good when it got dark, but the fish just didn't really want them.

What time did you leave the stream?
 
About 9:45ish. There weren't a ton of drakes like there were friday(when I know I left too early), but there were some along with a few cahills. The fish just weren't interested except for the one I got on a caddis and the one I lost on a drake as I said.
 
my better half is leaving this weekend to head home and see some friends before we head to the beach this week (shes a teacher so she doesnt have to work) I'm definitely going to get out late to hit the hatches. Tonight im going to tie some caddis and maybe do some sulphers and drakes if i can make it to the shop friday for some supplies

oh and nick im getting the hang of the tying quick, i just hope it carries onto other flies. ill put up a pick of my first
 
The brown drakes are over now, although you still may find some cahills and caddis. I went back to the shenango two nights ago and even though the caddis were hatching I couldn't get any on top. Missed one though. Got 2 trout and bass on streamers. Went back yesterday during the day and didn't get any trout, but they also opened up a gate.

And nice! It's rewarding when you catch a fish on something you tied yourself.
Don't forget about woolly buggers, and green weenies!
 
Brown drake spinners all over my buddies property just up from the. Covered bridge, we were grilling steaks and they were everywhere!
 
That's quite interesting Alan. That means the hatch spread out over a whole week. That's pretty long for this hatch.

in about a week after the creeks come down from the 3 inches of rain we are getting!
 
Haha yeah. I fished a stream in your area today that was at a great level, and that bugger would have done good.
 
my wolly buggers work!! I'm back home in lancaster and I tested them out at Donegal Creek sunday evening. Managed 3 fingerlings and a few chubs. Wish I had my dries but I left them at the house
