Fished a lower section of open water from 615am to 9am. Water was 68 degrees and was just the slightest bit off color. Air temp was 62 went I started. Got 7 on a string of wets. Five came in the first 20 minutes then only 2 more in the next 2 1/2 hours. I wished I had started sooner. Most abundant insect was a size 18 black caddis, followed by size 14 golden stone and a few large black stoneflies. Did not see any Insonychia cases on the rocks so they may not have started yet (or recent rains washed them off). Saw about 20 rises ranging from trout to bass to smaller fish.
