Knew the stream was probably up a bit from the large rain storm we got the day before, but went anyway. Met up with jrcll and a buddy of mine around 7am right behind the fly shop. The stream was up quite a bit from the last time I was up there and running chocolate brown. There were a few sporadic caddis coming off, some micro's and what I thought was a slate drake, but couldn't grab one to find out. Stream temp was 66. The fish started rising on the bank about an hour or so in, so I tied on a dry, and it literally started pouring, so the fish stopped rising. I landed 4 rainbows on a streamer and brown bugger throughout the day, I know jrcll landed atleast a few. Not many misses. Tried a cicada around the bank as they started buzzing towards noon, but no rises. There's still a bunch of fish in there, and with this cool weather they're doing quite nicely. I'll be up again before steelhead starts up.

Good to see you guys got into some fish despite the stream conditions! Thanks for the update.

I stopped by the lower section but it didn't look very nice so I continued on home. Glad to hear you guys had a good day.
