Took the day off of work and knew the stream got a pounding with rain the day before but figured I'd go anyways. The stream was looked like a strong cup of coffee. I got there around 7 am and the fish were feeding on top for a good hour or so. Didn't get any action on top with anything from terresterials to griffith's gnats. Caught one early on an egg pattern and then didn't catch anything for about 4 hours. Was about to give up and had a last resort of a wooley bugger (don't usually use them). I dead drift it as my point fly and caught a nice 16" rainbow on the 3rd cast. Also picked up a 14" rainbow about 10 min later and left after I lost my bugger in a tree lol. But that's how it usually goes. Had a good time afterall.

The owner of the fly shop said the whiteflys are coming off on slippery rock and lower stretches of neshannock in a few days... any updates on that would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
