Talked to the landowner who was turning his fields over at the DHALO. Really nice guy, welcomed fishermen so long as they don't park his tractor in on the pull-off over the bridge. Also, he said the lady downstream at the traditional wade-in point posted her property this year. Too many teenage parties and drug dealers on the stream bank. Entry at the bridge is still just fine.

Tried to swing #14 soft hackle wets to no avail. The fish started aggressively eating something on the top around 1730, and that something turned out to be pink Hendricksons. Murdered four stockies in a span of 20 minutes, then the top bite shut right off at 1800.

Another fly guy pulled in and asked if they were on sulphurs, and was very surprised when I said Hendricksons. This year the water has been high and cold for a long time throughout early May so it may have delayed some hatches this spring.

Went back to wets, no luck until near dark. Did bring a tick home though. Check yourselves!

I had an interesting encounter the last week in March in that stretch. There were two cars parked at the traditional entry point that is now posted. Not seeing any anglers I parked on the road, got geared up and let my dog out of the car ready to fish upstream when 2 heads popped up from the passenger seat of the one car... Now this was a beautiful spring day and there were several vehicles along 220 at the top of this section. I don't think teenagers these days are good at picking their "parking" spots lol

Yeah, teenagers these days just aren't as clever as we used to be.

Same place about three weeks ago I witnessed a domestic on the road. Not really enjoyable to be waist deep in a creek with three people yelling at each other fifty feet away.

Its not that they aren't clever; they brazingly don't care. 2 years ago I was fishing allenberry and a young couple was having sex right in the middle of the sewer easement in the day time during March. I just walked by and grumbled.
