Celebrated the feast day of my patron saint with a brief outing on Muddy Creek - FFO section. Air temp was 37 - 39. Cloudy with intermittent light drizzle/mist. Fished from about 12:00pm - 3:00pm.No surprise - the stream is very low. I had a pretty slow afternoon. Three stocked fish and a small wild brown to hand. All on a white woolly bugger. Talked to a fellow angler shortly after I started who had a good day.
There has always been plenty of evidence of beavers in the lower FFO stretch but man are they active right now. Have felled quite a number of large trees and are really cleaning out a section of the woods. Lots of trails in and out of the water and one pretty big dam under construction. I expect it to get wiped out if we ever have a high water event again.
