Today was in the high 50's and some much needed rain. A huge temp drop tomorrow, so I had to give it a shot.
I also tested out my new chest waders and Gore-Tex hooded jacket. Early Christmas present for me! LOL Even in the cold rain, I was a dry, happy camper.
I landed 2 browns, 4 suckers (one with a heron mark), and 1 little chub.
Five were caught on a #16 Hares Ear and two were caught on a #16 Pheasant Tail.
A slow retrieve on the bottom with a split shot. Again I tried a streamer and a bugger, but the fish seem to want tiny and hold tight to the bottom in the cold water.
A wonderful day fishing. So much better than sitting in front of a TV!
