Muddy Creek today was tough. Started out down at High Rock a little after 8 a.m. Met Maurice signed up for TU he gave me my change and then I paid him like 3 hours later. He almost paid me $2.50 to join. I kid, I kid.! Caught two at high rock on Jake's Heavy worm. One rainbow, one brown. Water was way off coler. Not chocalate milk, but I couldn't see my boots in less than knee deep water. Had a burger and pepsi and left. After leaving there I headed to Muddy Forks and hiked it down stream 1.4 miles past where the railroad is blocked off. Tracks are marked every 2 tenths of a mile. No fish. A few hits. I was trying to throw something big and heay but it wasn't working. I hiked out and had another two burgers at a stand at the forks and a beer. Hung out for a few and then on to Bridgeton. After throwing an Olive bugger all day with no results I tried a big heavy clouser minnow.
I had lots of hits missed a few and caught two more browns. Fished until about sundown. A long day and I am kinda sore. I fished for almost twelve hours, got sunburnt on my face, caught four trout and was nervous wading in the fast deep water downstream. I feel like Muddy creek just beat the crap out of me today.
