A friend and I fished the open water from about 11A to 4P. Water levels were coming up to the 200 cfs rate from the previous night's rain. Water temp was 60F and the color looked great for streamers. I tried on a Hornberg which worked well from the get go on a half dozen or so small wild browns and something pretty heavy that slipped my poor hookset. Tan caddis about sz 16 were in the air from the start but were more prevalent after lunch. Switched over to a soft hackle and caddis pupa which worked well at the end of a swing and after giving them a few small strips. Landed a mix of wild and stocked browns with that setup. We had a pretty good downpour about 3P. A few BWOs observed then. Throughout the afternoon there were occasional rises here and there.
