Me and my brother went the Saturday following through Fritz's stretch and apparently he musta fed steel to all the fish. No J/K, We got a few but expected more.
The water was flowing at 220cfs, it was clear on the sides and green in the pools, conventional wisdom woulda put it as blown out, we gambled and won. my bro got a handful of bows and a wild brown and I got a nice 16" bow and a 9" wild brown. missed a ton on streamers short striking which was weird because of the water color, thought they'd be hammering it more.
Caught fish over a long stretch in many locations that had not produced just weeks earlier so I think the bunched up fish are spreading out. good news. Ironically the typical holding areas were not producing like expected. Thats fishing!
Anyway, it never rained, the tribs were coloring up, we got out and I lost my prescription glasses at the car so guess what, you get a bonus report as I had to go back for them this am...right there next to the tire tracks, a little wet and splashed with sandy debris. there they were.
It poured this am, not raining now, criks still in good shape this am, but the tribs are muddying up considerably, Muddy Creek probably won't fish again till mid week.
Catch it coming down and clearing and the strreamer bite should be on.
