Monocacy Creek Northampton County 1/13/14

Spent some time with the fiancé over in the Allentown area yesterday and got out for a few hours on Monocacy.
It was a cold day but the fish didn't seem to notice. Managed over a dozen on scuds and red midge larvas and a few nicer fish (bigger than 15") on streamers.

Nothing hatching. Just a few lonely risers.

did you take the water temp ?

Do you like special regs area or outside? I was at festival down by the college this fall and water looked pretty nice in that stretch, even if not exactly rural. Saw a few fish on the flats, figured must be some good ones in the deeper pools.

I didnot take a temp.

I have no preference on regs or outside the reg area being better . The entire creek is pretty good. I do feel as though there are more better sized fish downstream of the reg area
