Fished the Trophy Trout section of the Monocacy Creek from 11:45AM-2PM. Hooked 3 and managed to land 1 brown trout 8" in length. Despite the water being quite cold all hooked fish fought hard and were not lethargic. Fish were hooked on a size 18 flashback gray sowbug tied on a straight shank hook. The water clarity was clear with a subtle green tint and 7x fluorocarbon was the tippet material of choice. I saw approximately half a dozen trout rising to small midges in slack water. The attached picture was taken with my cell phone.
