Fished 1230 to 430. Bluebird skies, very few clouds. Water level appeared to be a somewhat normal flow, nearby Loyalhanna USGS flow said “normal”.
Water temp was 59 degrees at 4 PM.
No great amount of big activity, some midges, a few very sporadic sulphers, one green drake. No risers seen.
I tried a few areas mentioned in “Keystone Fly Fishing” and fished a little ways upstream and downstream from where I parked. I tried dry flies to start but nothing doing. I only had success with a bead head gr hairs ear fished under a bobber. All trout hooked were in the deepest part of a run or small pool. Six hookups, four landed. Equal number of small native browns and stocked rainbows.
