I went door knocking yesterday to finally fish Class A Middle Creek. 1st door, I was greeted by an accommodating nice widow that liked to talk about fishing although she was unaware that there were any trout in her backyard. PFBC Class A list shows Middle Creek as wild brown trout but I caught several brookies as well. The water temp was mid 60's and cooler in the shade and cut banks where the fish were holding. There was some insect activity and I saw a couple of brookies fly out of the water chasing emergers. Fly of choice was anything I didn't care that would be lost in overhanging brush. I fished mid to late day.

Where's waldo? Oh, there he is, in my hallucination. The picture is of his fly. Nothing else to see here.

So nice to hear about kind land owners granting permission to fish. Beautiful creek too.
