I fished Middle Creek with a friend from 3:30 to 5:30. We fished the Rock Road area. It was the first time fishing upstream from the bridge. I caught 3 wild browns. The smallest was about 5 inches and the other 2 were about 9. I also caught a 12 inch stocker. My friend caught 1 brown and 1 rainbow, both about 12. The water was still up and a bit cloudy. If I get a chance, I'll post pictures of the stocked and wild browns to show the difference. It was partly sunny. There were a decent # of caddis and a few olives coming off. We saw a handful of rises. My friend finally switched to a caddis. He caught a chub but a few of the risers we saw were definitely trout. All fish were caught on black buggers. We missed as many as we caught. It was a great couple hours after touring the Barry farm on the Hammer. That is going to be some project.

Will the Barry farm be open to fishing? I sort of hope not....let it be a work of restoration which will affect much of what is downstream.

Also, I'll be back in "the hood" at the end of May. Won't have a lot of time for fishing, but I'm definitely going to check out some of these stretches on Middle Creek. Your reports have sparked interest!

I'm not sure. It was my first day participating. I don't want to comment on something I'm not sure about. When you see the high and eroded banks, it's clear where a lot of the downstream silt is coming from. It just looks like the perfect spot for a big project. I'm starting to think posted stretches on some parts of streams aren't the worst idea.

Couldn’t make it to the Barry Farm yesterday (I went fishing). Was on Hammer this afternoon. The wild trout that were abundant for the last two years seem to have disappeared. I’m impressed there are any wild trout in Middle Creek.

We had a rough day the only day we were on upper Hammer. Caddis should be out. I fished briefly today on Middle again. This time in the Limerock Area. I didn't fish that hard and didn't even have my waders on. Caught one wild. I moved a bunch of rainbows. One guy fishing worms said his buddy caught a huge brown by the railing on MC Road. That hole is just awesome. I took the dog for a walk just now. There were a decent # of caddis, midges, and some craneflies. No risers. Suprisingly, there were not many guys out today.
