I fished lower Middle with a friend. Water temp was only 61 at 11:00. I think the cool nights have been really keeping temps low. We caught more than a dozen fishing from about 8-2. We caught mostly rainbows. We were down pretty far so not that close to the springs . Caught fish on copper johns, midge pupae, and midges and missed one on a Beatle. I had some interest in a sulphur nymph. No real luck with streamers. It was a beautiful day!

Jeff I've been doing well in the lower portions with ants, dry and sunk ants. I've caught a mix of bows, browns, and a brookie or two thrown in the mix.

On 6/12 I was out and the rain early in the week had the water temps at 67*-68*. I fished lincoln and also a little at rock road. Caught a six pack between the 2 locations.

I was last out 6/15 and also had 61* water temps. I had fun on a dry dropper rig with sunk and foam ants on the lower portions of MC.

All my fishing was from 6:30-8:30. No hatches to talk about.

It's funny. I bought a bunch of ants but started with the beetle. I never moved to the ant because the beetle didn't get much interest. Glad you did well.

The best ant surprise I had was when I dumped my flies into an eddy while I got into position to make my forward cast with a dry dropper and my forward cast actually set the hook on a decent fish. I was a little confused for a few seconds.

Caught a couple down from Lincoln tonight on march browns. Only risers were at that hole. Dead everywhere else. Three cars just down from me. I met 1 coming downstream as I was moving up from the MC bridge. There were a lot of spinners in the air last night above Lincoln Road. I'm not sure what they were but only risers were a couple chubs.
