At the suggestion of Van Cleaver my son and I fished it today off South Bank Road down the Creek Trail just below the Park Office. Water temp in the shade was 64.5 degrees air temp 78 degrees as of 10AM. Lot of caddis coming off the water. Got a 14 inch Rainbow on a sulpher emerger my biggest fish this year. Thought I foul hooked it as it was so hard to bring to hand. The spin cast guys I saw coming back to the parking lot had no stringers so either they CAR or were skunked. As a 63 year old guy how wonderful is it when you can fish with a son you introduced to FF. Damned envious how he hop skips and jumps up a stream bank while I need a wading staff and every tree trunk God gives me to climb out of the water!

and nice to hear about White clay as I grew up on the banks of it down near Stanton-dead creek from Newark on down in those days but they cleaned it up a lot.

Nice stream in PA; especially in the preserve. I used to mostly fish the special regs area, but prefer the open water these days. Needs some rain right now....fingers crossed !
