Darryl picked me up at 6:30 and we where off to Meadow Run to try to beat the heat and wet a line. Still haven't bought another thermo, so I can only guess at the water temp, low 60's with good flow and slightly off color. There were millions of midges with a few mayflies and occasionaly a caddis or stonefly would flutter by.

The fishing was good, but not as great has has been in the past, there was a little more water than usual. I landed one nice and colorful brookie with an olive bugger and missed a few others. Darryl is still in soft-hackle mode and landed three, two browns and a really nice and heavy rainbow. The bow was around 17" and also very colorful.

With the heat came other recreational users or the stream, the slides were in use and there where other fisherman/swimmers in the holes below the slides. Recommend that if you fish here to get here early.
