Fished the evening rise with fellow PAFF member Bart. There was fog over the water, a bunch of different bugs, but not very many of any one kind.

I put on a sulphur soft hackle and started swinging in a fishy spot. A few casts later a nice 8 inch brown struck hard and did a good job of hooking himself. As darkness approached I tried a few more spots, not finding much. There was a lot of skinny water and finding deep spots was a challenge. I ended the night at a nice run and had a fish rising less than a rod length away downstream, I was too close and could not get a decent drift. Around that time it was getting too dark to see, so we called it a night.

McMichael's DHALO can be tough to fish in low water. If you didn't try it yesterday, recommend fishing down by hole 14 especially if the water level is low.
