fished the DHALO section today. managed 2 nice browns on buggers. lost one other one on a rubber leg prince nymph.

Very nice! I looked at the pics an that second one looks pretty wild to me. If it is, it's the biggest wild brown I have ever seen in manada, good catch.

Nice post dude. Worked out of Harrisburg today and drove over Manada on the way home. Thought about taking my rod with me today, but only would have had an hour or so of daylight by the time I got off.

Tough call on the second one, but I'll lean holdover stockie too. Has red spots, but none on the adipose, and I don't think I see an eyespot, but could be wrong. Nice fish either way.

That was the first time I checked out your blog...very cool, lots of good pics. I fish another one of the streams in your blog that's very underrated IMO.

thanks guys. if anyone wants to go fishing in the next few months pm me. I fish alot. not super familiar with this area. both clarks and yellow breeches are on my list (havent been to either one ever) manada is a childhood favorite.

the fish had an eye spot but i would agree with holdover stockie. no red on adipose and the fins just werent nice enough to be a wild IMO

swatti if you would like to pm me with the stream name I would be interested in which one it is. If its the one i think you will say i agree.

That was a nice Brown either way. I caught a couple in the Quittie this year that looked really good, but given the stream they were in I'm sure they were stockers. It's a tougher call on Manada because Manada does have a viable wild Brown population. They looked similar to yours...good gold coloration, bright red spots but none on the adipose. A lot of times the stocker Browns are real ugly ducklings, but for some reason this year's crop seemed to look better IMO.

Wow, that's a really good take for Manada - especially with recent conditions. It's been hard going since the storms

Very nice blog. You seem young but quite well versed in catching trout! I'm lucky enough to be heading to Idaho this year (second season of fly fishing). I'd be glad to catch just one of the fish pictured.

when are you headed to idaho and where? I will be headed back out for school april 14 after I get a morning of opening day fishing in. will be there till christmas. if you want to meet up i will be more than happy to take you to my areas out there. you can pm me if you want some info on idaho.

Heading to Boise area for a day or two in July, then driving up to McCall for around a week. About 3 or 4 hours north. I know that those mountains are chock full of good trout streams, but I never knew how to fish them!

Until July, though, I'll probably stick around Clarks and Manada and other local favorites to hone my skills
