We started out @ Manada @ about 8:00 in the morning. We fished down below the bridge to the end of the Project water. Saw alot more fish than we caught!
In all i caught 15 trout and had a very large bow on. My buddy caught the best fish of the day ( a 15 inch wild brown in full spawn colors) and about 10 stocked trout.
All fish caught on buggers and nymphs tandemed with glo bugs.
Interesting Note:
This is this one hole where a few years back i caught a bow that had passed a glo bug still attached to the line through his system. After landing the fish i pulled the line out of the fishes #**.
On this trip, same stream, same hole, I suddenly felt some swimming and pulled up. I landed a 14 inch bow. My buddy suddenly said, "oh you put a glo bug on." I was like, "No..."
Here the fish was hooked on a glo bug tandemed with a nymph...(where we got the idea to start fishing that tandem), I was using a bugger. Here the bugger hook had hooked the eyelit of the nymph. I keeped the flies and released the fish........So strange.
We headed to the Quitte @ 12:30 and got there @ 12:45-1pm. Stocking truck hadent shown up and there were very little fish in the stream. We left early.
Manada is fishing well, this is my second trip there in 2 weeks. The stream is gorgous and the trees are changing. God I love fall flyfishing!
P.S. Fish are rising in Manada to BWO's.:-D
