Nice evening, clear with little wind. Water in the high 50’s. The water was a bit stained where I was due to West Branch turbidity but not dirty by any means. There were a few winged ants, some size 20 olive spinners, a few caddis, and a large ISO spinner fall.

It was an interesting evening; many fish have moved out of the riffs and were feeding in the big slow eddies. It was like fishing a lake. Even the big rainbows have taken up residence in the slow pools. The biggest problem was figuring out where the fish (groups of fish) were going as most were cruising up and down the pool.

Fishing got very good once the ISO spinners hit the water around dusk.

I’m looking forward to the late season fishing with predictable hatches and rising fish.
