Started out on a class A at about 5:30 -- was hoping for some dry fly action. However the water level was extremely low, but still flowing. I tried a peeper pattern but none of the fish were interested in coming to the surface, even for a large meal; I think it had to do with the unsafeness to the shallow water. Most fish were hiding under rocks in the deepest holes -- no brainer.
Hatches: Yellow Sally's, and golden Drakes. (about half of the drakes were crippled-- weird)
Flies that worked for me: anything, they're brookies.
Lycoming:
Arrived about 7:15 no other people and no insect action.
Water was clear.
Managed one small wild brown, yes wild brown, in an area where I catch them consistantly, especially at night.
Hatches: none only saw one cahill spinner
Then the lightning and thunder started and then realized why I didn't catch more fish and why the insects weren't hatching.
However, I was too tired/bored to stick it out and left around 8:30.
