My son and I fished the loyalsock yesterday. We got there at 7:00 am, overcast sky's and air temperatures in the low 70's. The water temperature was in the low 60's and in good shape. There were some caddis and large white drakes around. My son is just learning to fish the surface and hooked 6 or 7 fish but they kept getting off. Finally I checked his fly and found the tip of the hook was broken off. So after a quick change he ended up with 3 fish and I got 7. We got most on elk’s hair caddis. There were no other anglers around. We saw quit a few fish and one 20+ inch fish that came clear out of the water right in front of us.
