Fished from 9-5, water temps were 60 Deg, and there was a lot of midge activity in select pockets.

Got the majority of my catches on a black foam beetle and sinking ant combo. I also managed one on a BHPT dropper and got some serious looks, but no strikes on a #16 Tan Caddis.

Overall, the beetle/ant combo was killing. I'd say that rig got me at least 12-15 fish, the highlight of them being a 16" rainbow towards the end of the day.

Aside from the good day, it was a little distressing to see two large dead fish. One was a 14" rainbow which I saw on the bank near the bridge right infront of the fly shop. Another one was in the middle of the stream which I couldn't get close to, but you could easily tell it was a dead fish, and it was big. I told the guy in the flyshop, and it appeard to be regular kills due to overplaying/mishandling.

Anyone else seen dead fish there recently? Is this just a typical sight on the LLH?
