Location: Upstream yellow gate on Szalay Rd, outside Beaverdale fished 7/12/2012
Time: 2-6pm
Weather: 82°F, partly sunny
Water Clarity: Clear
Water Level: Low
Hatches: Sporadic downwings, very light
A fun mountain stream, very impressed with the obvious habitat work done since last year by local sportsman, PA Fish Commission and conservation groups which will help conserve this fishery.
#14 Royal Wulff dry got nailed readily in the deeper pools and lies, with the balance of the catch coming off a #16 black ant in some of the tighter/faster runs-this is nearly the height of terrestrial season and the fish know it. Caught a few, released them all. All brookies.
Regards,
Joe
