Fished the LSR in the Delayed Harvest area near New Ringold yesterday. A beautiful sunny day, light breeze, air temp 70F, water temp 59F, clear, near perfect flow. No hatches and no fish rising, but caught 6 trouts on wet flies; 2 browns and 4 rainbows, all about 8 and 9 inches. Based on what I learned from Maurice, the browns were likely stream-bred, having the eye dot and red adipose. The rainbows were very nice looking too, but I'm assuming they are stockers. I also caught about a dozen fallfish - all wild. This stretch has some real nice glides and riffles, ideal water for swinging a team of wet flies.

jdaddy: I really debated with myself whether or not it would be necessary to add the otherwise obligatory "LOL" after my fallfish crack. No one seems concerned about the legitimacy of fallfish or other PA natives. Are flyfishers elitist? I suppose we wouldn't have out own website if we were not (LOL).
