Water temp 17 deg C in afternoon
Flow: low and clear
4 to 10 anglers present at all times from 8-4 pm in 1.1 mi stretch
About 15 percent fly anglers; mostly spin fishermen
Some fly anglers doing well with nymphs
Was stocked this past week, many fish still visible.
This is one of the low usage stream sections that has been promoted statewide in an attempt to increase angler use.

Comments from three of the anglers yesterday suggested that the river's width may be a factor in some people avoiding the river while it might be an attraction for others. One said he was more used to smaller streams. Another said the river's size probably intimidates some anglers. A third said very positively, however, that he does most of his trout fishing up north on big Pine Ck and that the upper end of this particular stocked trout stretch reminded him of the place where he fishes on big Pine.
