we started out on a small stream(which i wont name) on the advice of another flyfisherman. he said the stream had many larger wild browns that run up from the little schuykill. well he was half right. we did see a few large wild browns 16-17 inch range. most were in the 8-12 inch range. i would have liked the stream more but it was some ugly water. not to mention the wierd reglious alter we saw. gave us a funny feeling...what do u think?

the stream i guess wasent bad i guess, it had some brookies too.
no hatches present.
next we fished the little schuylkill dhalo. not many people out in the heat, but it was midday (1:00pm). hot and muggy weather made the fish very inactive. we did see a hole with about 15 trout in it. and we did manage to catch a few nice fish. the only hatch activity was white midges that shiners were eating :-x
here was spectorflys best catch! :-D

haha! just kidding. i wont let him live that down. the stream i bet is bangin in the early season or in weather a little cooler. i really liked the look of the stream. i posted a pic in photo section. ill be back there next year in early april-may.
after checking out a few streams that were a bust in the area.....we found the mother load. this little stream had tons of brookies. it really saved the day! between the 2 of us we probably caught 50 brook trout. yellow stoneflies were coming off hard and the water was fridged. i did have a HUGE brook trout hit a bugger that was underneath a log jam. im talking in the 15 inch range. unfortunately he didnt hook himself and never came back out. another day ill return....he won this time! :-D also saw a wild brown that had to come from the little schuykill. he was about 16-17 inches and ran underneath a undercut tree and that was the end of that. good day of fishing, i really enjoyed myself. that is except for when i was at satanic run! :lol:
