Fished the Fly stretch during my lunch break. Good amount of bwo coming off. Also saw some snow flies. Water is still a bit off color but flows are great. Tried one of my partridge and olive soft hackles flies Ive been tying and got into a small brown. Ive just started fly tying and this was my first fish on this particular pattern so I was pretty fired up. It was nothing to write home about, but it def. beat sitting at the computer.

Congrats! Tying completes the game in my opinion. You're opening a bunch of new doors to enjoying fly fishing.

Thanks Jay. It is very rewarding. Im trying to fish with only the flies I tie, I know its gonna mean less hookups, but I think it will motivate to tie better, and tie patterns that I would normally have never fished. Soft hackles are my new project, I want to master them.

If we both make the tying gathering on the lehigh valley, I'll bring a few of my favorite soft hackles to share. I fish them all the time. I'll show you a few different methods I use.

I was on the LL again today caught a few on bwo parachutes. One was a nice bow about 16. Tomorrow the camera goes with me!
