Met littlelehigh, his son Avery, and trowpa on the Little Lehigh at Millrace Rd at 11:30 today. Weather was partly sunny, temp was 50 degrees. No surface insect activity except for the occasional midge (no BWO).

It was a pleasure meeting my fellow paflyfish members - I'll fish with these guys anytime! Avery looks like a natural born fly fisherman. His rollcast was excellent, and he showed great patience for such a little guy. Good to see a child raised right. :-D

littlelehigh found the first fish, and trowpa caught all the rest of the fish in the stream. They caught all their fish on a sz 16 BHPT.
Nice weather and good company made for a relaxing day.

Looks like a nice place to fish. I've only fished the LL from the bridge at fish hatchery road on down to just below the covered bridge.

That's a nice rainbow!

Is there parking and access at Millrace Rd.?

There's a small parking area there, and the Millbrook Park path runs along the stream up to Krick Rd. Easy access, but don't expect the numbers of fish in this stretch compared to the no wading C&R FFO area.

Yeah they were nice size fat fish. It was a great day to be out. Hopefully the days of ice on the guides are now behind us.

Was a pleasure seeing littlelehigh again and to meet Heritage. Good people. Time to tie again.. i need to replenish that BHPT supply 🙂

Really was a great day! Was nice to get on to some fish this time with Trowpa and a really pleasure to listen to and fish with Heritage for the first time. Avery is already asking when we can meet up and do it again! He had a blast definitely a day he will not forget for a long time! BTW that was the first fish I ever caught on a fly a tied myself, I'm quite proud of that! Well Avery wants to fish that "hole" later today so I will let you know how it goes!

LittleLehigh - congrats! Great feeling isn't it? I've gotten so if i catcha fish on a "store bought" fly it somehow feels cheap and dirty lol

Anxious to hear how you did today.

I was out there 2 weeks ago I believe it was and had tons of luck, fish after fish after fish. It was my first time there and I will definately be back. Although it was a little crowded for my taste the fishing was superb.

Stopped by there Sunday for the first time since the late 60s. Only saw one small trout. Lots of silt in the stream bed. I only fished the lower section since a number of guys were unloading at the parking in the middle and heading upstream.
