Little Lehigh-Lehigh County 5-26-13

I was in up in Allentown for a memorial pick-nick and was able to get a couple hours of fishing in. Stream looked real good, clear but at a normal flow. No stream temp. Got to the stream at 630pm and sulphurs were already popping off. There also some other bugs that I couldn't identify, and some caddis. Lots of fish rising, and pretty aggressively. Picked up two fairly quick on a CDC Sulphur dun, but after those two I got no other looks for about 45 mins. Still fish were rising. I put on a CDC emerger, and that was the ticket. Landed a few more until I lost that fly to a tree, then lost another one to a hook up with a fish and a bad knot. Down to my last emerger, a snowshoe hare emerger. Landed one last trout and called it a night. By that time it was 820. Still lots of sulphurs, more than when I arrived, and fish still feeding aggressively up and down the stream.

Its been tough this spring getting out to fish so it was nice to hit the stream at perfect conditions. Happy Memorial Day to all our Veterans. God Bless.
